Del 5 al 8 de Junio Tetera y Kiwi participa en el Beefeater London District con una expo la mar de molona en la cual he tenido el placer de participar.
Si no tenéis planes, pasaos por la estación de Príncipe Pío para acercaros un poquito a Londres este finde, habrá cosas muy chulas, conciertos, comida rica, dibujos bonicos y deduzco (y asumo) que algún gin tonic también habrá ;)
Y por aquí os dejo mi obra para la expo London Icons de Tetera y Kiwi, porque para mí no hay Londres sin lluvia, ni siquiera en verano... especialmente en verano.
When I read that the characters for the last Trinquette's Challenge were Miss Morrigan and Chun Li I couldn't be more excited.
I've never really been a gamer, but Street Fighter is one of the few videogames I've played. when my brother and sister and I were kids, we had the supernintendo and we only had 3 videogames (the truth is we only had 1 and the other 2 were borrowed) the Super Mario, the Mario Kart and the Street Fighter, and I totally sucked at videogames, but Street Fighter was the only game in which my ancient technique of "clicking on everybutton to see what happens" would work, so I loved the Street Fighter!
And I would always pick Chun Li because she was the only girl, and she was GORGEOUS. And even though it may sound surprising, I was very girlie as a kid but I didn't liked pink, i prefered yellow (yeaaah!! me!!! yellow!!!) And Chun Li was my hero, because she didn't were pink clothes, she kicked like hell and she was still gorgeous.
For some time I thought Bianca was a girl too, but I guess she wasn't gorgeous enough for me, and I wasn't so much into green at that time. Now I realized she might not looked so gorgeous because of the fact that she wasn't a girl.
I'm glad I've had the opportunity of drawing Chun Li, I've enjoyed it very much and it has brought to my mind a lot of great childhood memories.
Hace ya casi un mes me uní a Society Six, pero la verdad es que me daba un poco de miedo publicitarlo mucho sin saber de primera mano cual iba a ser la calidad de mis productos. Como os podéis imaginar, una cosa es comprar cosas diseñadas por otra persona, y otra muy distinta cuando son tus dibujos y diseños los que van a ser impresos y comprados... Por eso, y porque siempre hace ilusión tener camisetas, bolsos o tazas con tus diseños, yo misma y mi querida hermana hicimos unas compritas en mi society six, y aunque todavía quedan cosas por llegar... la verdad es que he alucinado de la calidad de la tela y la impresión de los bolsos. En serio, parece que hubiese recortado el lienzo y hecho un bolso con él, es alucinante. Me encanta!
Además del totebag, llegó la tacita también de los gamusinos y la verdad es que queda bastante resultona!
Ya puedo estar mucho más tranquila sabiendo que mis diseños están en buenas manos :)

Just joind the inktober fever with this doodle i made last night (great friday night plan, hah?)
It's really comforting to get back to ink and brushes and realizing that I haven't forgotten how to use them... (and not drawing fluffy creatures with heart shaped pinky noses it's kind of comforting too)
I found this old bottle of ink in my father's old desk, and felt the urge of doodling and splatering with it!
But I didn't see the price tag after a while... and omg! the price was still in "pesetas" it cost 25 pta, which is less than 0'25 cents... i wonder how much would a parker quink bottle cost nowadays... but i'm guessing it might be like 10 times it's price.

Como compensación me han dicho que harán una entrada en su blog con el relato y mi ilustración y espero que mis datos. Así que ya os avisaré cuando se publique la susodicha entrada. Mientras tanto siempre me quedará decir por aquí que ese dibujo es mío, solo mío, vale?

Here it is my illustration for Miguel Rodriguez Robles tale called Der Schatten, featured in the number 4 of LiF Magazine. If you are interested, you can have a look at it here, the tale is in the pages 42-43, and I must warn you that you needn't bother in looking for my name, because due to a small logistics mistake, they forgot to inlude it. As compensation, they've told me they would post both the story and my pic, and hopefully my name and my blog adress too, in their blog. So I will let you know as soon as this post is published. Meanwhile i can always use my own blog to let everyone know that the painting featured in page 43 was made by me, and only me, ok? And in page 70 you can also find the work of my beloved friend Pafi, a regular contributor for LiF magazine, who also happens to have a full page ad for herself! :) Enjoy the magazine!
Sip, soy una de esas personas molestas a las que les encaaanta el otoño... por lo general no peco de ser demasiado buenrollista, pero en otoño siii! y mucho!!!
No voy a entrar en cursilerias del tipo: "adoro el olor a hojas secas mojadas..." no, tranquilos, seré buena y os ahorraré esa parte, sencillamente diré que el verano me cansa y se me hace laaargo... y me paso el mes de septiembre (porque si, aunque los buenrollistas veraniegos no queráis admitirlo... septiembre aún es verano) ansiando que llegue la lluvia y el frío, aaaais! lo único que no me gusta del otoño es que en Madrid nunca hace demasiado frío ni llueve lo suficiente... y muchos años mi querido otoño acaba convirtiéndose en una insufrible prolongación del verano pero sin vacaciones, pero no! este otoño ha empezado lloviendo!!! y no puedo estar más contenta!!! solo espero que siga así y que este anticiclón que nos ha visitado esta semana se vaya pronto... :P

Yep, i'm one of those annoying autumn freaks... i'm not usually an extremely enthusiastic kind of person, but when autumn arrives... i totally am!!! annoyingly enthusiasctic!!!
I am not going to get into cheesy stuff such as "the lovely smell of wet autumn leaves" nop, don't worry, i'll be a good girl an spare you all the suffering, I'll just say that summer is tooo long and I get fed up of it, so I spen the whole month of september (because, even though all those summer enthusiastic freaks won't admit it, september is still summer) longing for rain and cold weather, aisss! The only thing i don't like about autumn is that here in Madrid it's never too cold and it doesn't rain enough... and usually my beloved autumn ends up becoming an unbearable extension of the summer but with no holidays! but not this year!!! This autumn began with rain!!! I can't be happier!!! I just wish it'd continue that way and that the anticyclone that we've had this week will leave us soon... :P
Ahora mismo estoy trabajando en un dibujín de temática otoñal, uno de esos dibujos que inesperadamente acaban necesitando un montón de papeles diferentes que después tendrán que acoplarse de algún modo... no importa el curro que sea, mola eso de tener algo grande entre manos! :)
Right now i'm working on an autumn themed piece, one of those pieces that unexpectedly requires lots of different papers which will need to be pasted together somehow afterwards... nevermind the hardwork! it feels good to have something bigger in my hands! :)
Hey! aqui os presento a este par de murcielaguillos amorosos.
Lo hice para el concurso de threadless loves bats, pero ayer resultó ser uno de esos días en los que por algún extraño motivo yo e illustrator no conseguimos entendernos... hice y deshice a los pobre bichos alados por lo menos 4 veces... finalemente conseguí dar con algo que funcionaba y por cabezonería no me fui a dormir hasta que no lo terminé, pero lo terminé!
Desafortunadamente, hice mis cálculos de cambio de hora mal, y resultó que el plazo para subir las imagenes a threadless acabó una hora antes de lo que yo pensaba... y me pilló en medio proceso de subir a mis bichejos... aissss malditas thumbnails y sus extraños tamaños!
Pero no pasa nada, me siento orgullosa de haberme quedado hasta las mil terminando un dibujo por puro amor propio!
Hey! here you are a lovely couple of little bats! It was suppossed to be for the threadless loves bats contest... buuut yesterday turned out to be one of those days in which my illustrator and i don't seem to understand each other... i did and undid the poor winged fellas at least 4 times... finally i came up with something that worked and dew to my stuborness i didn't go to sleep 'till i finnished it, but i finnished it! Unfortunately, i miscalculated the time equivalence... and the submissions closed 1 hour earlier than i expected... and i was caught in the process of uploading my bats... aisss damned thumbnails and their weird sizes! But it's no big deal, i feel proud of myself for staying 'till late finnishing this piece for self-respect!
Una raramente productiva tarde de domingo viendo Decisión Crítica, (ni caso a la puntuación de filmaffinity, una peli con steven seagal y kurt russel juntos jamás ha de estar puntuada por debajo del 6) peliculón donde los haya con un reparto excelsamente exquisito.
Desgraciadamente no fui lo bastante rápida al ir a coger el bloc de dibujo y me quedé sin dibujar a Steven Seagal :(
An unusually productive sunday afternoon watching Executive Decision, (don't bother paying attention to filmaffinity's rating, a film with Steven Seagal and Kurt Russel on it can never be rated bellow 6) quite a great movie with an astonishing exquisite cast. Unfortunately i wasn't quick enough in picking my sketch book and i didn't make it on time to draw Steven Seagal :(
